Hello SpyMC players,
We’d like to take a moment to inform you about a recent unexpected issue on our SpyMC Eco (Economy) Server and walk you through what happened, what it means for you, and how we’re fixing it.
What Happened
A few days ago, our team detected a significant problem affecting the Eco Server world border. Due to an accidental plugin malfunction, the border setting that restricts the playable area was removed entirely. Without the border in place, players could wander far beyond the intended limits, explore ungenerated areas, and even begin building way outside the designed region.
While this might sound exciting to some, it actually poses risks to server performance and gameplay balance. Large, unregulated builds far away from the spawn area can lead to increased lag, slower chunk loading, and unfair economic advantages for certain players.
How It Affects the Game
On SpyMC, the world border is essential. It makes sure:
Performance remains stable, reducing lag for all players.
Resources are distributed fairly, keeping the economy balanced.
Players can interact more easily, making community activities and events enjoyable for everyone.
Without this restriction, some players might have gained access to land and materials that others could not, disrupting the economy and the spirit of fair play.
Our Solution
We are reinstating the 100,000-block radius world border on the Eco Server. However, to give everyone enough time to adjust:
You have 3 days from now to move your builds, farms, and storage inside the official border.
After the adjustment period, the world border will be restored and any structures beyond the limit will no longer be accessible.
This approach ensures that every player gets a fair opportunity to comply with the rules, while maintaining the fun and competitive environment you love.
Your Role and Cooperation
We kindly ask all players to:
Verify that any builds, claims, or storage are inside the 100,000-block limit.
Avoid creating new builds outside the border during these 3 days.
Notify your friends, guild members, or teammates who may not have seen this announcement.
Your cooperation will help us keep SpyMC a lag-free, fair-play environment for all, and will allow us to continue hosting exciting events and maintaining a balanced economy.
Final Words
We understand that changes like this can be inconvenient, especially if your builds are affected. However, maintaining a stable server environment is our top priority, and keeping the world border intact is a crucial part of that stability.
Thank you for your understanding, patience, and commitment to the SpyMC community. We’ll continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates along the way.
